22 posts · Joined 2011. #5 · Aug 2, 2016. My 2006 MK3 2.5 auto got the same problem. Two switches disconnected from the plugs ,the brake lamps still stay on when the key turned to position III . Take the fuse #93 (power source for brake lamps) off then the brake lamps went off.
